3 SECRETS TO BECOMING AUTHENTIC

Embracing your leadership activates a boldness to manifest your authentic self. The real you unveil the beautiful, creative, resourceful, innovative and world shaker. You were created to take charge of yourself, the market place and the nations. You are graced for exploits bringing forth excellence in every area of your life.

The transformation from the place of brokenness or departure with the authentic you to a realignment by boldly embracing the authentic self, is a journey I delight to witness my clients through all the way. Helping you reconnect with the true inner you brings so much joy.

  1.   Being authentic is the best gift you can give to yourself.

You will never fulfil destiny until you discover the true you. It means being comfortable in your skin, honest with yourself, deliberate about internal emotional awareness. A call to become an active listener of self. Being genuine is embracing our true identity and letting go of what does not serve our highest purpose.

  1.   Vulnerable with Self

Being authentic is a call to be vulnerable with self. Your story is your story, the voice that will take you to your purpose. No one can own your story, no one can tell it as you nor, can anyone write it as you would.

  1.   Acceptance of oneself and a full acknowledgement of Your Wholeness.

Being authentic means accepting yourself and fully acknowledging your wholeness including your imperfections, insecurities and your flaws. It is your authenticity that makes you so unique. It saves you time because you never waste time running on trivial duties of hiding your true identity, activities, goals and wrong relationships. Instead, it focuses you on what you were created or wired to do.

It is, however, easier to conform to those around us than to be authentic. Society expects you to also do things a certain way depending on the culture, socialisation, education and many other factors. However, doing this denies you the opportunity to leave nothing noteworthy about you for your generation. It leads to your potential becoming dormant and you maintaining a status quo. Myles Monroe said that the wealthiest place on earth is the cemetery. That is where we have buried companies, bestsellers that were never written, innovations that never saw the light of day. The You that you denied your generation.

I abhor being a photocopy or fake. It takes too much energy to live this way. What footprints are you leaving behind? Are they like for everyone else; have they reflected the true you? Whose dream are you living, yours or someone else? Sacrificing the true you/true self has led many people to suffer from stress, depression, self-pity, overwhelm and living below their standards. When will you showcase the greatness in you and become the solution you were assigned to fulfil in life? Why are you keeping the priceless investment in you concealed in another person that is not you? Why do you want to contribute to the wealth buried in the grave? Take charge and unveil the you that the world has been craving for, impact your generations.

You must intentionally and purposefully awaken the authentic self. Reconnect with the deepest part of your being, which knows who you are and how you should live. Live consciously awakened that it is in your DNA to thrive in every area of life. Nobody will bring the true you out but you. You must shed off the other person, accept and embrace the true you. She is the precious, unique you, the gift that you are.

Living in alignment with your authentic self unlocks the provision for your journey of destiny. It opens rare doors, gives you easiness beyond the challenges you will face in the journey of life.

When you are authentic, you do not struggle to connect with others. You can establish deep and healthy relationships because you understand your values straight-up, producing very authentic decisions. You can bear witness that you like connecting to those you can trust and are honest with you. Remember that no one is self-made.

Quality and healthy relationships are essential to fulfilling your destiny. I consistently build a support system of people who speak to me authentically on achievements or where I might be messing up. Keeping it real with each other results in deep and valuable relationships. The person who tells you it is well, while they do not mean it is your enemy and not a friend.

Now it is time to have a conversation with you, asking yourself the following questions.

  • Who am I?
  • Who is the genuine me?
  • Currently, am I living conflicted within myself; is there an inner me that I have intentionally/unconsciously suppressed?
  • Why am I putting more energy to suppress the true me?
  • What activity do I engage in that makes me feel more connected to myself, brings me joy and a sense of fulfilment?
  • What price am I willing to pay to live the authentic me?

Peeling of the onion is yours to do. The process might involve some pain and some tears, the price you may have to pay to bring out the beauty of your life, the flavours, scents and the taste of your sweet you. Imagine frying food without an onion? How would it taste? You must take off every layer at a time, remove all the masks and unleash the authentic you.
